By nature, the mind is hostile toward God.

III. DEFINITIONS:  WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO RENEW THE MIND?

Conformed Defined:  G4964 suschēmatizō To fashion alike, that is, to conform one’s self (i.e. one’s mind and character) to another’s pattern, (fashion one’s self according to)  To fit in their mold or frame. 

Transformed Defined:  G3339 – metamorphoō To change into another form, to transform, to transfigure 

Renewing Defined: Anakainōsis (G342)  Renovation Complete change for the better 

Renewed Defined:  G365: Ananēoō To renovate, that is, reform:      Page3 Renovate/Renovation Defined: Webster 1828 Definition  To renew; to restore to the first state, or to a good state, after decay, destruction or depravation.  As the renovation of the heart by grace.  

Spirit Defined: G4151 – pneuma  In this instance:  Mental disposition  

Mind Defined:  G3563 – nous  The intellect, understanding.  

Good Defined – G18 – agathos  Pleasant, agreeable, joyful, happy, excellent, distinguished, upright, honourable 

Acceptable Defined – G2101 – euarestos  Fully agreeable: wellpleasing.
