IAmAcceptedpostBlessed and Highly Favored

Ephesians 1:6 (KJV)
6  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

The word “accepted” in the Greek means:

  • To supply with special honor and blessings
  • To be highly favored (compassed with favor)

The word is only used one other time in the New Testament in Luke 1:28 when the angel spoke to Mary:

Luke 1:28 (KJV)
28  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

In our world today, everyone is trying to be accepted or earn favor.  It is so refreshing to know that the moment we received Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, he did not reject us but accepted us.  Actually, the bible says we were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world.  He chose us so that He could favor us.  This means to show kindness and preferential treatment.

Not only do we have preferential treatment but the scripture says in Psalm 5:12, he will bless the righteous and compass him with favor as with a shield.

The purpose of a shield is to protect us from those things that are not favorable.

So our confession today is:

  • I am blessed, empowered to prosper and highly favored.
  • I will experience God’s kindness and preferential treatment throughout my whole day.
  • I have His grace. I have His mercy.  I have His love.  I have His protection and I have His care.
